I liked that scene a lot, too. But I think my favorite was in the extended edition of Return of the King when the Mouth of Sauron shows up. Seriously creepy. And also one of my favorite lines from Gimli: "Guess that concludes negotiations."

Ew! He is so gross! My favorite characters from the movies (since I never read the books ) were Celeborn and Galadriel. I thought they were so neat! Perfect elves, just the way I always pictured them.
Then again, Elrond was pretty cool, too

I take it you like the elves of Middle Earth. I liked Elrond too. I loved his reaction when the fellowship is created and Merry and Pippin come out of hiding saying they're going too. I was like, man you just lost total control of the entire situation.

I liked the elves too, but Elrond was my favorite. I wish they'd showed more of him in the movies.

I agree! Love Elrond! If I had to pick a race I would definitely be an elf! Pointy ears and all!
