| I was able to see it the day it was released here in the UK. Went with one of my mates after work and bloody loved it! The theatre was PACKED, but we still had a good time. Best movie I've seen since Snow White and the Huntsman.
It's well worth waiting for, Alaryah, belive me you'll not be disappointed!

| The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was released on the 13th here in Germany. I have yet to see it though, with not much time during the holidays. It's my hope to see it this coming weekend with my girlfriend. | |

| What was your favorite scene, Dot?
Mine was the Brown Wizard scene. Radagast was great.

| Wraith! For shame! Tsk, tsk! A moderator should know better! (I'm loving this, can anybody tell? ) - Spoiler:
My favorite part was Thorin's song. It was just so awesome! Actually, that whole part when the dwarves arrive is my favorite. It was SO cool!

| I got to see The Hobbit with my girlfirend and we both enjoyed it a great deal. We are both Tolkein and fantasy fans in general and the movie did not disappoint.
SPOILER
My favorite scene in the movie was the Giant Spiders. They were frighteningly well done. Rivendell was beautifully depicted.
But I also liked the part where the dwarves are presenting Bilbo with his contract. It is very funny!

| Rabbit, - Spoiler:
I agree, mate. I don't exactly like spiders myself and Shelob in Lord of the Rings was enough to give nightmares for a week but the ones in The Hobbit really took the cake.

| Yay! I finally got to see it! Took my family and went to go see it in 3D 48 FPS and I must say it was quite an adventure! I am usually not good with 3D, I get headaches, but I thought I'd see what all the fuss is about. And I must say it was absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see it again. Tho this time I will probably just see it in 2D because I did get a wee headache from the glasses. Did anyone else get to see it in the 48 FPS? | |

| I elected to watch it in 2D as I get headaches from 3D films as well. As it was also released in the 48 FPS, I thought it looked a little unfinished. But truth be told, I got so wrapped up into the movie shortly after it started, I no longer noticed! | |

| I saw it, but I don't know if the theatre had it in 48 FPS or not....wasn't it released at that rate everywhere? | |

I can't wait to go back and see it in 2D then I will pay more attention instead of looking at the whole screen in awe of the 48 FPS. I was truly stunning but I'm sure 2D will be just as magnificent! - Dot wrote:

I was only able to find a few that had it here with limited availability for the 48 FPS. But there were many options on how to watch it! Lol! The Hobbit was available in HFR 3D (48FPS), IMAX 3D, IMAX, standard 3D, and 2D. Heck if I had time I'd see it in all the formats!

| I saw The Hobbit in 2D and it was amazing. Better, in my opinion than 3D. | |
